13th Annual Living History Cemetery Tour
Don't miss the chance to see Allegan lore and legend brought to life with first person portrayals of those who now rest in the park like setting of Oakwood Cemetery.
Every year the money raised thru ticket sales is used to purchase supplies to clean and repair headstones of those who no longer have family to tend to the maintenance.
Tours will depart from the chapel at the time printed at the top of the ticket. The tour will last approximately one hour.
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Umbrella if there is a threat of rain . . . tours go on whether there's rain or shine.

Wreaths Across America
REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
On Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 12:00 p.m., Wreaths Across America will be at Oakwood Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Cemetery Symposium
A day of guided tours that focus on geology, cemetery iconography, cemetery history, White Bronze monuments, as well as hands on gravestone carving and a gravestone restoration demonstration. More details to come.

Civil War Gravestone Dedication
Join us as we honor 6 Union soldiers whose graves have been unmarked since their passing.
We partnered with the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War to make sure that the men who fought for the Union cause will have a gravestone to mark their final resting place.

Bring your painting kit and come out to capture this beautiful cemetery! Perhaps you have a favorite gravestone or you love the park like setting. There are so many subjects to choose from. This event is free and open to the public. You bring everything you need to create your masterpiece (paint, canvas, brushes, easel, etc.) we provide the space.

We will be honoring Pvt. David Silence of the 102nd United States Colored Troops with the unveiling of his brand new gravestone and remembrance service.
